Academia Foundation: a positive outcome and new perspectives for 2024

Created in 1997, the Academia Foundation is a non-profit association which works to support the most deserving Moroccan students in their academic careers, whether in Morocco or abroad.

Since its creation, it has supported more than 450 students thanks to the involvement of its members, including large national companies such as AKWA Group, Al Barid Bank, Attijariwafa Bank, ANRT, Bank of Africa, BMCI, CIH Bank, Ciments of Morocco, Cooper Pharma, COSUMAR, Crédit Agricole, Fondation Banque Populaire, Fondation CDG, Lafarge-Holcim, OCP Group, ONEE and Royal Air Maroc.

During its Board of Directors and General Assembly, held on Friday October 4, the Academia Foundation took stock of its achievements for the year 2023, marked by the presidency of the Banque Populaire Foundation. Members validated the support of 28 new students through the granting of honorary loans, allowing these young people to join prestigious establishments such as the École Polytechnique, the École Normale Supérieure, and the ESCP. The discussions also focused on the development prospects and future projects of the Foundation, testifying to the collective commitment of its members to support the education and professional integration of young Moroccan talents.

At the end of the General Assembly, the Academia Foundation brought together its Alumni, its members and representatives of the CPGE collective as well as the HR community of partner companies. This meeting allowed former beneficiaries to share their journeys and highlight the determining impact of the Foundation on their careers, thus strengthening the role of the Academia Foundation as a key player in educational support in Morocco.
