A minivan in the Porsche range? The founder of Facebook gave himself one

For the needs of his wife, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta (Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp) had a rather special Porsche Coupé built.

The Porsche Cayenne Coupé is not the ideal vehicle for taking children to school. But if you can’t do without its high-end standing and high-end performance even though you need a minivan, the Californian workshop West Coast Custom has the solution. Provided of course that the thickness of your wallet is up to it.

The budget for such an achievement – which for the sake of discretion has not been revealed – posed no problem to Marc Zuckerberg, founder of the social network Facebook and now CEO of the Meta group (Instagram and Whatsapp). The latter asked the American pharmacy specializing in making the whims of stars come true so that he could carry out the project for his wife, the “lucky” Priscilla Chan. In addition to a very seriously stretched body, the SUV Coupe now features a pair of sliding side doors. These must open electrically given the absence of handles.

After an SUV from Ferrari, a minivan or an electric utility vehicle from Porsche?

And a 911 GT3 Pack Touring BVM to accompany the minivan

At the rear, the spoiler perched at the top of the tailgate has also grown in size. And so that this luxury “bassett” does not appear too high, the ground clearance has probably been reduced by the use of air suspension. Mechanical question, the Porsche Cayenne Coupé GT which serves as the basis for the project contains a 4.0 biturbo V8 engine with 631 hp before restyling and delivering 650 hp after the mid-career cosmetic operation. Did the businessman ask for more horses?

In any case, despite more than questionable plastic, this machine is much less insignificant in traffic than a Tesla Model. Even if the latter retains the prize of originality with its famous Falcon Wing doors which have had some problems in the past. And to have a garage connection, Marc Zuckerberg also bought himself a Porsche 911 GT3 with the Touring pack and a manual gearbox, which he probably did not plan to transform into a limousine. But who knows?

Mouse in his right hand, graphic palette stylus in his left hand, journalist/designer who has been into automobiles since his early childhood.
