Answering these 10 questions is enough to unlock thousands of euros in aid to renovate your home

A new site simplifies energy renovation. In just a few clicks, owners can now estimate the assistance to which they are entitled to renovate their home.

For the State, renovating one’s housing is a “national priority” and offers numerous support and incentive schemes for this. But this can quickly turn into a headache: between the various aids, bonuses and eligibility conditions, it is difficult to navigate.

To navigate this administrative labyrinth, the government has launched a free simulator, accessible since the beginning of 2024. This site promises to revolutionize the way in which owners approach their energy renovation projects. In less than five minutes, and without any prior registration, it is possible to obtain a fairly precise estimate of the aid available for your renovation project.

The operation is disconcertingly simple (for once!). Users are invited to answer a questionnaire, consisting of ten questions. The latter relate to essential information such as the address of the accommodation, its surface area, the year of construction, the number of occupants and the reference tax income of the household. Once this data is entered, the simulator instantly performs its calculations and presents a summary of the aid and amounts to which the owner is eligible.

Whether for the installation of a solar water heater, the insulation of walls from the outside, or an overall renovation aimed at significantly improving the energy performance diagnosis (DPE) of the home, this site offers a clear vision and rapid financing opportunities.

Tenants are not eligible for renovation assistance. But this site can still be very useful: “Don’t hesitate to do this simulation as if you were an owner. This can provide an interesting factual basis for discussion: your owner may not be aware of the new aid 2024”, we can read during the questionnaire.

The name of this simulator: Mes Aides Réno. It is important to note that although the site is already very complete, it is still in the development phase. Certain aid, such as local aid or the zero-rate Eco-loan, is not yet integrated into the simulator calculations. The developers are actively working to improve and regularly update the tool to make it ever more comprehensive and precise.

It should also be noted that Mes Aides Réno does not replace the complete aid application process. Its role is above all informative. At the end of the simulation, owners are invited to contact a Rénov’ advisor, the public energy renovation service. This additional step, also free, allows the project to be refined and concrete steps to be taken to obtain the identified aid.
