Puch-d’Agenais. Enedis meets communities

With the aim of interacting with representatives of local authorities to answer their questions and concerns regarding electricity distribution in their territory, Enedis plans to host 5 meetings in each corner of the department, with a particular zoom on the energy transition. These meetings are also offered to strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the region’s electrical networks and to support them in their projects. The first meeting took place in Puch-d’Agenais, in the Yvon Péjean room, in the presence of around thirty elected officials. Laurence Rolland, Territorial Director 47, presented the new Enedis team based in Lot-et-Garonne, as well as the organization of services. Julien Jeanjean explained energy support solutions through the use of data, as well as Enedis’ support for collective self-consumption, the development of renewable energies and the installation of vehicle charging stations. It has developed the measures and services offered to manage overall consumption, analyze consumption by type of use, monitor a consumption point, and prepare a renovation or collective self-consumption project. David Gourgon took over to define the role of Enedis in self-consumption, its regulatory framework, the difference between individual and collective self-consumption…

Puch-d’Agenais, the example

The venue for this first meeting was not chosen at random: Puch d’Agenais is the first commune in Lot-et-Garonne with collective self-consumption. The mayor of Puch, Alain Maillé, presented a most convincing assessment in terms of profitability and savings for the municipality. “In summer, we produce leftover electricity, which we return to the electricity supplier. We plan to benefit local businesses within the village,” he declared, “the investment should be amortized in 8 years. Photovoltaic panels were installed on the roofs of the village hall, the school and the town hall, which make it possible to supply self-consumption electricity to seven municipal buildings. The energy produced passes through the already existing network. Enedis distributes it dynamically to other municipal buildings using communicating meters according to their current needs, following a distribution key defined by the Municipality. To this end, an agreement was initially made with Enedis.
