This partnership aims to provide a convenient and fast solution for paying electricity bills across the country. Thanks to the large network of more than 500 Zeyna SA agencies across the country, coupled with a presence in several countries in the sub-region, thousands of Nigeriens will now be able to pay their electricity bills quickly, securely and accessible, whether through Zeyna counters or via its “Zeyna Cash” mobile application. This strengthens financial inclusion, one of the strong commitments of Zeyna Transfert d’Argent, a key player in financial services in Niger.

NIGELEC, the main electricity supplier in Niger, is taking a new step in the digitalization of its services with the official launch of the bill payment operation via ZEYNA Money Transfer.

The launching ceremony of this significant event was held in the presence of high-ranking personalities from the two partner institutions, notably Ms. Fatima Jean Paul, General Director of Zeyna Transfert d’Argent, and Mr. Souleymane Mounmouni, Commercial Director of NIGELEC.

During this event, Mr. Souleymane Mounmouni, Commercial Director of NIGELEC, opened the session by expressing his gratitude to the participants and emphasizing the importance of this new collaboration. He explained that this initiative is part of NIGELEC’s strategy of diversification of payment methods. “With this new partnership, ZEYNA makes its vast network of agencies available to NIGELEC subscribers, covering the entire national territory,” he said. This network is supplemented by the ZEYNA CASH application, a digital tool that allows subscribers to pay their bills remotely, at any time.

Mr. Mounmouni also underlined that this approach aims to reduce queues in front of NIGELEC counters, while improving the efficiency of electronic payment, which has become faster thanks to recently installed modern equipment. He encouraged subscribers to take advantage of these technological tools to simplify their daily lives and benefit from more fluid and accessible services.

For her part, Mrs. Fatima Jean Paul, General Director of ZEYNA Transfert d’Argent, expressed her enthusiasm at the idea of ​​this collaboration, describing this day as “historic”. “This event marks the realization of the constantly reaffirmed desire of NIGELEC and Zeyna to offer solutions to relieve the daily life of the Nigerien population,” she declared. Madame Jean Paul also announced a special promotion: payment of NIGELEC invoices via ZEYNA will be free of charge for a limited period. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burdens of subscribers while ensuring a local service with the security offered by the ZEYNA network of agencies across Niger.
