The automobile market recorded growth of +4.72% at the end of September 2024, with a total of 122,950 units sold, marking an increase compared to the same period in 2023, when 117,409 vehicles were sold. Dacia, market leader, continues to dominate sales of passenger vehicles (PV), according to the Association of Vehicle Importers in Morocco (AIVAM).

Sales of passenger vehicles reached 109,848 units, an increase of 3.51% year-on-year. At the same time, the light utility vehicle (LCV) segment experienced strong growth with 13,102 units sold, up 16.10%, highlights AIVAM data.

The month of September 2024 was particularly dynamic with 14,398 units sold, recording an increase of 22.57% compared to September 2023, when only 11,747 units were sold. This increase is mainly explained by the favorable base effect, September 2023 having been impacted by the Haouz earthquake, which occurred at the beginning of the month.
