To demonstrate, Patrick Hofer-Noser does not hesitate to climb on the roof. Fortunately, there is not much risk because the roof in question is close to the ground. He is in the “showroom” of a new factory in Worb, near Bern, where the company he manages, 3S Swiss Solar Solutions, manufactures solar modules of a new type: photovoltaic installations which are not not ordinary signs.

If the business manager willingly takes to the roof – no matter how good his shoes are – it is because he wants to show how flush his solar modules are. How much they can be treaded on, how well a roof window and a chimney blend into the modules. This is indeed where the particularity of its approach lies: the photovoltaic installation is not placed on a pre-existing roof, but it East the roof. The 3S solar cells act as tiles and cover the frame over its entire surface.
