be careful, this smoked salmon presents risks of listeriosis

Reminder Conso invited consumers this Monday not to buy packages of smoked salmon sold throughout from August 27 to September 16, for reasons of contamination with the bacteria responsible for listeriosis.

You have to be very careful. The government site Rappel Conso alerted the French this Monday, September 30, regarding packets of red label Atlantic smoked salmon from the “Les Délices de Belle France” brand. Indeed, these products would be contaminated by the bacteria listeria monocytogenes, responsible for listeriosis.

This recall concerns 80 gram packages, containing two slices of salmon. They were marketed from August 27 to September 16 throughout France, and in particular in the Coccinelle, Coccimarket and Rapide market stores.

It is mainly lot 38882X239 (GTIN 3258563490111) of red label Atlantic smoked salmon, consumable until September 16, which is affected by this recall.

“People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their treating doctor, reporting this consumption,” wrote Rappel Cons.

“Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly must be particularly attentive to these symptoms,” added the government site, recalling that “listeriosis is a disease which can be serious and whose incubation time can go up to at eight weeks.
