organization of the first Digital Trade Day for Africa

On September 26, the first Digital Trade Day for Africa was launched during a networking session organized around “China-Africa Digital Intelligence”, as part of the 3rd World Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) currently held in Hangzhou, capital of the Chinese province of Zhejiang (east), in the presence of more than 300 officials, business representatives, specialists and researchers.

Thanks to the rapid development and popularization of mobile Internet in Africa, the digital economy is playing an increasingly important role in the African economy. Accelerating the construction of a digitalized Africa has become a consensus and a common need between African countries. Several projects were established in this area during the contact session, bringing new real achievements in China-Africa cooperation.

Faced with the context of global digitalization, the digital economy has given new impetus to the development of ties between China and African countries, all of which have enormous potential and great space for the development of the digital economy, especially in areas of e-commerce, digital infrastructure and technological innovation, said a senior African diplomat in China.

In the near future, China and African countries will create more cooperation platforms in the fields of digital economy, industrial cooperation and talent training to jointly seize opportunities emerging in the development of the global economy.
