The Casablanca Stock Exchange closes in positive territory

The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended the Friday session in positive territory, its flagship index, the MASI, increasing by 0.55% to 14,449.05 points (pts).

The MASI.20, an index bringing together the 20 most liquid stocks, and the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating, as published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, gained respectively 0.68% to 1,169.32 pts. and 0.39% to 1,037.75 pts.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap, the thematic index which calculates the price performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, increased by 0.74% to 1,361.89 pts.

On the international side, the FTSE CSE Morocco 15 and the FTSE CSE Morocco All-Liquid ended with respective gains of 0.65% to 13,645.96 pts and 0.61% to 12,149.6 pts.

On a sectoral level, the portfolio and holding companies index (+3.21%) achieved the strongest increase, followed by the “Transport services” (+2.85%) and “Transport” (+ 2.27%).

On the other hand, the beverage sector recorded the largest decline (-7.85%), followed by the leisure and hotel sectors (-2.83%), and financing companies and other financial activities (-2.77%). .

The overall volume of trade amounted to 533.61 million dirhams (MDH) carried out mainly on the Central market (Shares) and dominated by transactions on BCP (90.35 MDH), Attijariwafa Bank (85.48 MDH) and TGCC. (55.09) MDH).

The market capitalization, for its part, exceeded 745.31 billion dirhams.

On the values ​​front, Colorado (+6.93% to 54 DH), AtlantaSanad (+5.34% to 140.1 DH), SM Monétique (+3.9% to 240 DH), Disty Technologies (+3 .35% to 247 DH) and Delta Holding (+3.29% to 59.9 DH) posted the largest increases.

On the other hand, the largest declines were recorded by Sociétés des beverages du Maroc (-9.95% to 2,334 DH), Salafin (-6% to 575.3 DH), Zellidja SA (-5.98% to 575.3 DH), 157.35 DH), Stroc Indusrie (-4.06% to 61.4 DH) and Lesieur Cristal (-3.51% to 275 DH).
