Innovation and sustainability at the heart of the 7th edition of the AUSIM Conference (President of AUSIM)

Casablanca – Innovation and sustainability will be at the heart of the 7th edition of the Conference of the Association of Users of Information Systems in Morocco (AUSIM), which will be held from October 23 to 25, 2024 in Marrakech, said Tuesday in Casablanca the president of AUSIM, Hicham Chiguer.

Organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this edition promises to be exceptional with the introduction of certified Master Classes, aimed at strengthening the digital skills of participants, said Mr. Chiguer during the event’s presentation conference.

This year’s theme, “The Power of Digital: Together Towards a Sustainable and Resilient World,” brings together experts and decision-makers around the latest technological trends and their impact on sustainable development, Mr. Chiguer stressed, adding that renowned speakers, such as Tarik Hammadou of NVIDIA and Nicolas Sadirac of 01Edu, will host interactive conferences.

These meetings are not only a professional gathering place, but also a space for sharing experiences and networking, he added, highlighting AUSIM’s commitment to working towards an inclusive digital ecosystem.

Mr. Chiguer also stressed the central role of digital technology in the transformation of businesses and public administrations, particularly in resource management, process optimization and the reduction of environmental impacts.

And to continue: “This year, with the introduction of Master Classes, we are taking a further step by offering participants a unique opportunity to enrich their professional career with certified skills, in areas that are at the heart of current digital transformations. We firmly believe that digital, well used, is a powerful lever for building a sustainable and resilient future.”

For his part, the vice-president of AUSIM, Rachid Baarbi, recalled the history and mission of the association, created in 1993, which brings together more than 115 members representing 20% ​​of Moroccan GDP.

“The association, founded in 1993, brings together a community of large companies from the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors, such as banks, insurance companies and industries. This organization brings together its members around digital and IT, seeking to popularize and demystify these often complex areas. The goal is to simplify IT for members,” he said.

The main role of this organization is to optimize the processes and margins of companies, while strengthening digital offers, through diversified programs responding to current themes, which allow members to share their common objectives in the digital universe and to better understand technological developments, explained Mr. Baarbi.

For his part, the Secretary General of AUSIM, Mohamed Saidi, highlighted the role of information and communication technologies in the resilience of organizations.

This edition, which aims to respond to the many challenges facing the world, particularly those caused by global changes and the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, will be a platform to support businesses by showing them how to take advantage of the strengths of digital technology to build a more resilient and sustainable future, he argued.

The event will also feature a TV set dedicated to debates around the themes and latest advances in Artificial Intelligence, the challenges of cybersecurity and the impact of emerging technologies.

Through interactive broadcasts, AUSIM TV will encourage open and constructive dialogue, allowing the public to get involved in the discussions that will shape the future of the sector.
