Strike notice on RER B on Tuesday, 2 out of 3 trains maintained

The strike is scheduled from 23 September at 23:00 to 25 September at 06:00 to protest against the inadequate control and intervention procedures carried out by security teams against drivers in cabins.

Two out of three trains will run on average on Tuesday on the RER B, the only direct rail link between and ’s largest airport, Charles-de-Gaulle, due to a strike notice filed by RATP unions, the transport company said on Sunday.

The strike is planned “from September 23 at 11:00 p.m. to September 25 at 6:00 a.m.” to protest “against inappropriate control and intervention procedures” carried out by security teams against drivers in cabins, announce four unions (La base, CGT, FO and Unsa) on X.

Reacting to this announcement, the RATP “expects disrupted traffic on RER line B with an average of 2 out of 3 trains”according to a statement released Sunday. “The interconnection will be maintained at Gare du a nerve center of the RER B and one of the main stations in Paris which serves as a connecting hub for many train lines, according to the same source.

This line, managed by both RATP and SNCF, which jointly operate the RER B, usually carries nearly a million passengers per day.
