Userguest, a startup dedicated to hospitality professionals, raises 2.2 million euros

Moroccan startuppers continue to attract institutional investors and investment funds. Userguest, which allows hotels to optimize their revenues, is one example. Created by 3 Moroccans, the startup has just closed a round of €2.2 million seed fundingThis fundraising comes at a time when the startup is committed to a project of rapid expansion and innovation of its products.

According to DisruptAfricathe main objective of the fundraising is to boost the growth of “Userguest” and introduce new features and innovative products. In addition, a significant portion of the funding will strengthen the sales team, allowing the company to further penetrate key markets and consolidate its position as a market leader and direct revenue optimizer.

This financing round was led by Al Mada Ventures and included CDG Invest, Saviu Ventures, UM6P Ventures, Kalys VC, Plug & Play and other leading private equity firms such as business angels Philippe Limes and Thane Kuhlman. “This investment underscores our investors’ confidence in our vision to create an automated tool that optimizes hotel conversions and revenue.”

He added, “After consolidating our presence in the market and gaining the trust of the biggest hotel brands, we are now ready to elevate Userguest to new heights, improving hotel performance while enriching the user experience, for the benefit of both hoteliers and travelers,” said Hicham Benyebdri, co-founder of the startup.

Founded in 2018, Userguest offers a fully automated tool that allows hotels to optimize their direct revenue from their website by organizing personalized messages and “smart” incentives for visitors. It already operates in more than 30 countries and has generated more than $100 million in direct revenue for hotels since 2019.
