The Learning Olympics begin in Lyon

After the Paris Olympics, the International Skills Olympiad opens this Tuesday, September 10 in Lyon, bringing together 1,400 young apprentices from all over the world.

Those nostalgic for the 2024 Olympics can take comfort in the fact that the end of the Paralympic Games will not mean the end of international competitions in France this year. In the wake of the sporting event, another global event is currently bringing together more than 70 countries from around the world. Starting this Tuesday, September 10, Lyon will welcome 1,400 athletes. But of a completely different kind than those that have thrilled France and the world in Paris in recent weeks. No athletics, swimming, cycling or kayaking, but baking, plumbing, milling or even mobile robotics and hairdressing.

Because the 47th edition of Worldskills, which will take place until Sunday, September 15, is a competition of trades.
