five departments still on orange alert

Gare in bad weather! In its latest weather report this Saturday at 6 am, Météo-France decided to keep five departments in the southwest quarter of France on orange alert for rain-flooding due to heavy rainfall expected. The Hautes-Pyrénées, Dordogne, Corrèze, Creuse and Haute-Vienne are concerned. As for the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department on orange alert on Friday, it has returned to yellow alert. The Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques, initially placed on orange flood alert, have also returned to yellow.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology, a large part of France will be affected by a rainy-stormy situation this afternoon and during the night from Saturday to Sunday. Note that an extension of the orange alert remains possible to other departments, Météo-France specifies in its bulletin, while the rain front will shift towards the east of the country in the afternoon, warns the forecaster.
