According to the Guardian newspaper, the nephew of the 45th US president, now 61, was annoyed that the Republican candidate did not care about the American military. He “doesn’t give a damn,” he said about his uncle on the MSNBC program “White House.”
Military man excluded from Trump trip
The charge comes as Donald Trump has faced a torrent of criticism following his controversial visit on August 26 to Arlington Cemetery in Virginia, where more than 400,000 American military veterans are buried.
At the end of this highly symbolic trip, the US Army General Staff criticized Donald Trump’s campaign team for having pushed aside a soldier during his visit. The reason? The latter allegedly explained to the candidate’s entourage that it was forbidden to take photos of the graves of recently deceased soldiers.
