Find out the real estate prices in Saint-Étienne as of September 1, 2024

Property prices are generally down in Saint-Étienne. They now reach 1,454 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.

Real estate has been declining overall for several months in Saint-Étienne. Thus, the average price has now reached 1,454 euros per m² in September (price displayed in advertisements before negotiation), according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over one month, prices have fallen by 2.1% and, over one year, they have fallen by 9.9%.

On the rental side, prices are on the rise. Thus, the average price of a rental comes to 12 euros per m2. For a studio, it will be necessary to count on an average of 375 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 620 euros.

The population increased slightly in Saint-Etienne between 2009 and 2020, according to INSEE. It went from 171,961 people to 174,082 people. The largest socio-professional category is retirees with 37,433 people. And the smallest, besides farmers, are craftsmen, traders, business leaders with 3,649 people.

The number of primary residences has increased slightly in recent years. It rose from 83,051 in 2009 to 85,926 in 2020. The same goes for vacant housing (9,850 in 2009 compared to 12,341 in 2020). The number of secondary residences has also decreased (2,434 in 2009 compared to 2,403 in 2020).
