In Quimper, it's over for the Dupleix hotel, on the banks of the Odet

The hotel Le Dupleix, located on the boulevard of the same name, along the banks of the Odet, was placed in liquidation this Friday, January 24. The end of an institution in the small world of the Quimper hotel industry since the establishment was created in June 1983.

Located at number 34 of the boulevard, at the end of a small cul-de-sac adjoining the Finistère Departmental Council, this hotel has 29 rooms and two meeting rooms spread over three levels. It has long been considered a prestigious hotel in Cornwall's capital, welcoming many tourists.

Starting in 2016, the facility began housing migrant minors on behalf of the Department. Activity which ended at the beginning of 2024, the new law on the care of unaccompanied foreign minors prohibiting accommodation in private hotels, delegated service providers.
