Donald Trump, the day after his inauguration, announced on Tuesday a giant private investment in artificial intelligence and launched his political revenge campaign.

The Republican president praised to the press a project called Stargatepromising investments ofat least 500 billion dollars in technological infrastructures in the United States.

It must generate almost immediately more than 100,000 jobsassured the billionaire, who always liked to line up spectacular figures.

Stargate brings together the specialist in cloud (remote computing) Oracle, the Japanese investment company SoftBank and the young generative artificial intelligence company OpenAIwhose leaders were present at the White House. Each in turn, the three bosses thanked Donald Trump.

We couldn’t have done this without yousaid Masayoshi Son (SoftBank). He touted the promise, made the day before by the 78-year-old president, to bring America in a golden age.

SoftBank’s participation in the project Stargate sparked market euphoria: on Wednesday, the Japanese group’s shares soared 8.45% on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

In the same vein, Donald Trump had made another commitment, much darker: that of avenging the treason of which he judges that the United States was a victim after the election in 2020 of Democrat Joe Biden.

1000 people will be dismissed

The Republican president declared during the night that he had ordered his team to actively identify and remove more than 1,000 appointees from the previous administration.

People that are not aligned with our vision to make America great againhe said on his platform Truth Social.

He assured that four people had already been trips – including former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mark Milley, one of his pet peeves, dismissed from an advisory role. Chef José Andrés, recently decorated by Joe Biden for his humanitarian actions, was also targeted, but he assured that his function in a commission devoted, among other things, to food was over in any case.

Admiral Linda Fagan, appointed by the former Democratic president to head the US Coast Guard and the first woman to head one of the six branches of the army, was also fired.

John Bolton deprived of police protection

The new administration also withdrew the police protection enjoyed by John Bolton, former White House national security adviser during the Republican’s first term, who became a fierce critic.

Asked about this, Donald Trump said that his former advisor was a man stupid and that this protection should not be guaranteed for life.

He also defended his decision to pardon 1,500 people convicted of attacking the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in an attempt to prevent Joe Biden from coming to power, or to commute their sentences for some. Among the beneficiaries of this gesture of clemency are the leaders of two far-right militias, the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys.

Their sentences were ridiculous and excessivelaunched Donald Trump, who just before this attack had heated his supporters white with a speech on an election faked – a false assertion that he maintains.

An irritating religious service

After a triumphant inauguration, Donald Trump met a completely different welcome early Tuesday morning, during a religious service at the Washington National Cathedral.

There are gay, lesbian, transgender children from Democratic, Republican or independent families, some of whom fear for their livestold him the Episcopalian bishop of Washington, Mariann Budde, urging him to show mercy.

They may not be citizens or may not have the right papers, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminalsshe also pleaded.

The Republican president signed decrees on Monday targeting illegal immigration and denying the existence of transgender people.

The Republican remained unmoved, declaring only upon his return to the White House that the religious service could have been much better.
