It’s a roller coaster winter for the Télé-Dôle ski lifts. After snowfalls that were tempting at the end of December, we learned that the intercommunal referendum against the 2.6 million franc rescue plan had not been successful. But the project is not guaranteed: the referendum committee has in fact filed an appeal with the Canton, reports “24 Heures”. This having a suspensive effect, the work is not planned for tomorrow.
If the appellants did not respond to requests from the Vaudois daily, one of its members explained to the newspaper “Le Temps” that the rules of the intercommunal referendum, which its committee was the first to test, made success practically impossible. “It requires crazy logistics,” explained Alice Duvert. It’s a very difficult tool for citizens to implement, and it seems unfair to me.” For its part, Télé-Dôle does not hide its dissatisfaction, seeing a possible start of work moving away. For the station to open next year, however, they would have to be able to start by the end of August at the latest, explains its vice-president Olivier Riesen. The State of Vaud has 30 days to decide.
