The Swiss chocolatier, whose only French production unit is in Oloron, managed to increase its turnover by 5.1% over the last twelve months, which represents 5.47 billion Swiss francs, or 5 .82 billion euros.
Soaring cocoa costs
However, the year was not easy for the chocolatier, who faced a surge in cocoa prices. The group estimates that it was forced to increase its prices in 2024 to compensate, and already anticipates that a further increase will be necessary in 2025.

The sale of Lindt chocolates has increased in all regions of the world. Europe recorded the highest turnover with 2.59 billion Swiss francs (2.76 billion euros), “representing a remarkable organic growth of 9.5%”. “Lindt & Sprüngli recorded double-digit growth in many European markets, including the UK, Central and Eastern Europe, France and Benelux.” The company is also pleased with good performances in North America and “excellent development” in Brazil, Japan and China.
Success of figurines and pralines
Lindt was notably driven by the success of its chocolate figurines and its pralines, but also by the Lindor and Excellence ranges, which were the main drivers of growth. 2024 was marked by the launch of new products such as the Excellence glitter range as well as new flavors for Lindor. At the end of the year, the firm rode the Dubai chocolate craze by designing its own bar based on pistachio praline.

The manufacturer intends to continue its momentum in 2025, counting on further organic growth of between 7% and 9%.
And in Oloron?
After celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024, the Oloron factory will turn to the development of renewable energies for its production needs during this year.
Indeed, in the coming months, Lindt will focus on reducing its carbon footprint, thanks to the creation of a heating network currently being built by the company Dalkia. During the city's recent greetings ceremony, the director of the Oloron site Arturo Ferrer Montiel announced that the company had invested 1.8 million euros to accommodate 1.5 km of piping, which will allow a reduction of 2 000 tonnes of CO2. Note that the Safran landing systems factory in Bidos will also benefit from this infrastructure.
