At the end of the meeting of its political bureau, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, the RNI released a press release in which it welcomed the successes achieved by Moroccan diplomacy, led by His Majesty the King, welcoming in particular the recent decision by the Republic of Ghana to suspend diplomatic relations with the so-called “SADR”.
Regarding the Family Code, the RNI BP once again highly praised the royal approach adopted for the revision of the Moudawana. In this sense, the party expressed “its full involvement” in communicating with citizens to inform them of developments in this reform project, expressing “its full confidence” in the government to develop a legal text within a reasonable time frame.
In terms of government action, the RNI praised the ability of the Executive to face the various challenges, through the implementation of innovative and integrated public policies, as part of its efforts to consolidate the foundations of the social state, such as the generalization of social protection, the implementation of the direct social assistance program, the housing assistance program, etc. The government, continues the same source, has also kept its commitments made within the framework of social dialogue, has initiated profound reforms in the health and education sectors, in addition to the implementation of unprecedented measures in terms of support for investment, tourism, management of water issues, energy transition and even digitalization. The relevance of these choices is corroborated by the figures. The political office cites in particular the record tourist arrivals in the Kingdom in 2024, which reached 17.4 million visitors.
The RNI also welcomes the government’s success in ensuring the financial viability of the various programs and strategies it has launched, and its control of the macroeconomic balances of the State’s financial portfolio. This is evidenced by the downward trend in the budget deficit, which went from 7% in 2021 to 4% in 2024.
-At the same time, the inflation rate did not exceed 1% over the past year, while the growth rate stood at 4.2% during the third quarter of 2024, in a context increase in the volume of foreign investments and tax revenues.
On the organizational level, the RNI political office reviewed the final preparations for the organization, Saturday January 11, of its national council, which will be held at the party headquarters in Rabat. In this regard, he highlighted the success of the party and its various components, over the past year, in the organization of numerous communication and leadership activities in all regions of the Kingdom.
Note that during this meeting, the RNI political bureau approved the party’s financial accounts for the year 2024, as well as the draft budget for the year 2025. These accounts will be presented at the next session of the Council national for final approval.
