The American financial services group Stifel announced on Monday the acquisition of the -based investment bank Bryan Garnier, without specifying the financial terms of the agreement.

“As a leading European investment bank in the healthcare and technology sectors, Bryan Garnier represents an ideal partner,” commented Stifel CEO Ronald J. Kruszewski, quoted in a press release.

Based in , the Bryan Garnier investment bank has offices in London, Amsterdam, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm and New York.

Its 200 employees advise on merger and acquisition operations, like more established players like Lazard or Rothschild & Co, but also in financing operations.

Stifel, for its part, has nearly 10,000 employees spread across approximately 400 offices in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and is targeting more than $4.8 billion in turnover.

The mergers and acquisitions market remained subdued in France in 2024, penalized by political and fiscal uncertainties and sluggish economic growth.

The market for purchases and sales of companies carried out by investment funds, recurring clients of Bryan Garnier, was particularly calm.
