INFO LE FIGARO – In a letter to Fraud Repression, nine professional organizations warn of the desire of certain brands not to comply with the law which will change from January 1.

Towards a (new) standoff over meal vouchers. And this finds its origin in the censorship of the Barnier government. The fall of the executive has paused the examination of the bill aimed at extending into 2025 the exceptional use of meal vouchers to purchase all types of food products, including those not immediately consumable, such as flour. or pasta. In the absence of a text voted on in time, it will no longer be possible to purchase these products with meal vouchers, from January 1st.

The Senate certainly included the text – largely consensual among parliamentarians – on its agenda for January 15. But during the few weeks which will pass between January 1 and the probable vote of the law, it is theoretically the rules in force until October 2022 which must make their return. However, players in mass distribution intend not to respect this change, denounce nine unions of restaurateurs and traders in a letter to the Repression of Fraud (DGCCRF), consulted by Le Figaro.
