Formerly legendary restaurant in Saint-Lô, Le Palais d'Italie closed its doors a few months ago. In its place, since the beginning of December we have found the hair and nail salon, Xin chao at Dao, a modern place where many services are proposed.
From an Asian restaurant to an Asian hair salon
“I knew the former managers of the restaurant, that’s how I knew the place was for sale,” explains Ngoc Hong Dao Ho, the young woman of Vietnamese origin (like the former manager Liên Pham), which took over the former Palais d'Italie.
With the help of her friends and family, Saint-Loise completely renovatedin just a few weeks. Goodbye green paint, hello modern and cozy decor!
A hair and nail pro
In his native country, Ngoc Hong Dao was already a hairdresserso upon her arrival in France, more precisely in Bayeux, in 2015, she carried out several training courses to improve in the area. “I did one in hairdressing, aesthetics and also to become a nail technician,” explains the manager with a smile.
The latter opened her own salon a few days ago, whose name, Xin chao at Dao, means: hello at Dao. She offers hair care, coloring and bleaching, cuts, etc. As well as false nails, varnishes and additions. For all ages and for all genders.
A desire to be “eco-responsible” and a relaxation area
In a desire for transparency with its customers, Ngoc Hong Dao prepares all its mixtures in front of them and only uses brands that claim to be “eco-responsible”. Like ICON, which offers vegan products and use recycled materials for the manufacture of its bottles.
The young woman also imagined a relaxation areawhere it is possible to book a “Vietnamese Head massage” service (scalp massage). “When a client books, I privatize the premises and take care of them for 1 hour 30 minutes. The service includes massage, treatment, shampoo and blow drying,” explains Ngoc Hong Dao, looking forward to welcoming you to her salon. .
