The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Squamish say they have found the body of a second person missing after a landslide on December 14, near Lions Bay, British Columbia.
The body was found around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, said the GRC.
The landslide notably carried debris onto the Sea-to-Sky Highway, between Vancouver and Whistler. Traffic had to be stopped in both directions.
The landslide also took away a house. The body of one of its occupants was found on December 15, bringing the number of people who died following the landslide to two.
The violent winds that hit southern British Columbia on December 14 also caused the death of a woman in Surrey who died from serious injuries caused by a falling tree branch.
