Fish fillets are among the most popular products in the Leclerc fish department, prized for their freshness and ease of preparation. Whether for a quick dinner or a festive dish, these fillets are often on the household menu. However, it would be truly regrettable to get sick after eating it.
This is why Consumption reminder recently published a product recall sheet, at the initiative of the Leclerc brand. One net in particular would be potentially dangerous to health. It is therefore important to know which one and why.
A product recalled from Leclerc since December 20
If you're used to strolling through the fish section of Leclerc, you know that it's a real treat for the eyes (and for the taste buds!). This corner of the store has a loyal customer base. And this clientele appreciates the impeccable quality of fresh productsfrom carefully selected fish to mouth-watering seafood.
The stalls are full of perfectly cut fillets, glistening oysters and shellfish that look like they've just come out of the water. But what really makes the difference is freshness, often ensured by circuits courts and partnerships with local producers.

However, even a giant like Leclerc cannot escape the unexpected. This December 20, an incident disrupted the tranquility of the fish department Leclerc. Indeed, a product recall has been launched concerning Whiting fillets sold in certain stores of the brand.
This recall, although it only concerns a small quantity of products, it is important to check your purchases if you recently purchased these nets.
The risks if you consume this fillet
Whiting is like the perfect fish: delicate, tasty and easy to cook. Whether in the pan, in the oven or even in foil, its melting texture and subtle taste make it a real delight, appreciated by young and old alike.
But even such a delicious product can be problematic. If you purchased these recalled Whiting fillets from Leclerc, it is important not to consume them. They present a ABVT (Total Volatile Basic Nitrogen) rate too high.
The substance may cause a risk of food poisoning. The phenomenon can result in digestive disorders such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. A situation that should of course be avoided, especially after a meal that should have been a moment of pleasure!
