Mohamed Bachiri, general manager of RENAULT Group Maroc and president of the RENAULT Maroc Foundation, accompanied by a delegation from the group and the Foundation, visited on Tuesday December 17, 2024 the public primary school “Al Borj”, the 5th fully-built educational establishment renovated by the Foundation in the commune of Melloussa (Tangier Region).
The visit was carried out in the presence of representatives of local authorities, the provincial directorate of national education and the school management and allowed us to see the transformation of the establishment.
The “Al Borj” satellite primary school, which accommodates more than 400 students, benefited from a complete renovation including the rehabilitation of the electrical network, the redevelopment of the toilets, the connection of septic tanks, as well as the rehabilitation of the waterproofing and floors in all classrooms.
The work also focused on the development of the courtyard, securing the perimeter of the school, the construction of an access gate and the carrying out of interior and exterior painting work as well as the replacement of school furniture.
Through these renovation initiatives, the RENAULT Maroc Foundation aims above all to offer students a welcoming and secure learning environment, essential to encourage their engagement, improve their academic performance and strengthen their academic retention.
Finally, it should be noted that for several years, the RENAULT Maroc Foundation has been engaged in the rehabilitation of public educational establishments in rural and peri-urban areas, particularly in its regions of operation.
This initiative, which is part of the Foundation’s approach in favor of access to education, aims to promote academic success and effectively combat dropping out of school.
