Motorists will have to be patient if they wish to reach downtown Montreal from Route 136 during the weekend.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTQ) has indicated that Route 136 will be completely closed between the Turcot interchange and the city center.
“This significant obstacle will allow the demolition of part of the Saint-Urbain Street overpass, above Route 136,” explained the MTQ.
The MTQ therefore plans to completely close the R-136 eastbound in the Turcot interchange from Saturday, midnight to Sunday, 7:30 a.m.
The same road will also be closed between exit 4 and rue Atateken, from Friday, 11:30 p.m., to Monday, 5 a.m., according to the ministry.
The complete closure of the R-136 westbound is planned for the same period between rue Panet and the entrance from rue Lucien-L’Allier.
“The implementation of these closures could be postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions or operational constraints,” specified the MTQ.
