“The police showed up in numbers and began to search several students.” Organized within the school framework and open to the public, the annual Christmas market at Union College in Prilly (VD) was disrupted on Friday evening. According to a former student of the secondary school, who had come to see his teachers with friends, the agents intervened for a fight. “Students in 9-10-11th grades would have been in possession of drugs,” he slips. This is also what is being whispered among teenagers. The young man regrets that the annual party has paid the price. “The police and security agents made everyone leave, the evening was ruined,” he regrets.
For their part, the Vaud cantonal police confirm having been alerted on Friday, around 8:30 p.m., for an altercation between several people, in the school courtyard, where the school’s Christmas market was taking place. “According to information collected on site, a 14-year-old minor was attacked by three other adolescents, aged 14 to 15. He was threatened and slightly injured. The Juvenile Court has opened a criminal investigation,” reports police spokesperson David Guisolan.
As for knowing the context which led to the fight and a potential link with drugs, the police do not comment on these elements. She will not release further details at this stage of the investigation. The school management refuses to comment.
