The historic Lotto Max jackpot, which reached $80 million, was won Tuesday thanks to two selections, one of which was purchased in Quebec.
The holders of these two winning tickets will share the jackpot at the rate of $40 million each, according to a press release from Loto-Québec.
The winning combination is 09, 14, 21, 26, 29, 32 and 41 with the complementary number 47, according to the results displayed on the Loto-Québec website.
In addition to this jackpot, a Maxmillions, worth $1 million, was won in La Belle Province, while 18 Maxmillions were at stake, according to the state company.
“This is only the second time that Lotto Max has offered such a high jackpot,” said Isabelle Jean, executive vice-president and head of lottery operations at Loto-Québec.
As a reminder, last September, the very first jackpot of $80 million was won in part in Quebec, where the holder of the winning ticket pocketed $40 million.
“We are happy to hear that it was won here again. What great news just before the holidays!” added Ms. Jean.
Since the launch of the lottery, Quebecers have won 43 jackpots, including three of $70 million, the largest jackpots ever won in Quebec.
