About ten days ago, the railway group proposed a 2.2% salary increase to the 150,000 railway workers for 2025 when inflation peaks at 1.5%. Not so bad when some feared a salary freeze. The historic railway operator also made a commitment that the lowest salary remains 10% higher than the minimum wage. The HR director of SNCF, Philippe Bru, had promised that the agreement would apply if two unions signed it. Too bad if they didn't represent the majority of employees. They gave the organizations until November 29 to sign.
