In a few days there will be no more stopping at tolls from Dozulé or Beuzeville to pay his dues. The A13 motorway between Caen and will indeed go into free flow from Tuesday December 10, 2024.

Changes for two nights in December

Following the A14 motorway transformed into a free-flow toll since last June, the A13 motorway will see its physical toll barriers disappear for the benefit of porticos, in the night of December 9 to 10 for the toll barriers on the A13 and the night of December 10 to 11 for entrances and exits from the A13.

The main part of the transformation of the A13 will take place during the night of December 9 to 10. “ 80% of journeys on the Paris- axis will thus be carried out in free flow from December 10 in the morning“, continues Sanef. It will be about five toll gates between Caen and (Dozulé, Beuzeville, Incarville, Heudebouville and Buchelay).

Regarding the entrances and exits of the A13 located between Caen and the work will be carried out in the night from Tuesday 10 to Wednesday 11 December. This will be the case for Cagny, Troarn, Dozulé exitsQuetteville or Beuzeville.

What is free-flow tolling?

“With free flow, no more stopping at the toll and payment is made after the trip! », insists Sanef. Indeed, the passage of the A13 in free flow means that the motorist will not have no need to stop to pay its toll between Caen and Paris. These are gantries which will detect the passage and the type of vehicle used (car, heavy goods vehicle, etc.) to allocate the amount of the toll due.
