Google Workspace unveiled this Monday a new study on the use of artificial intelligence in the world of work. According to this report, 82% of young adults in leadership positions use AI regularly at work: 93% of Generation Z and 79% of Generation Y (millennials) use at least two such tools every week, reports Quartz.
For this survey, more than 1,000 American employees aged 22 to 39, who occupy or will soon occupy a management position at work, were questioned. Most said they use AI to improve their writing, take notes or even synthesize documents.
“The future of work is powered by AI”
According to 86% of respondents, AI could help leaders become better managers. 98% of them also believe that AI will have an impact on their industry or workplace over the next five years. “The future of work is here, and it's powered by AI,” summarizes Yulie Kwon Kim, vice president of product at Google Workspace.
ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, became the most popular generative AI tool in the world last May. The use of AI is not yet unanimous in all companies, Quartz nevertheless raises. Several companies, including the JPMorgan bank and Apple, have imposed restrictions in order to avoid inappropriate use by their employees. One of the main fears remains false answers or other potential errors generated by these tools.
