Hundreds of consumers patiently waited for the opening of the Super C supermarket on Boulevard Saint-Germain on Thursday morning in Rimouski. Redeveloped at a cost of $3.5 million, the establishment owned by Metro has been transformed in recent weeks to display its new colors.
Acquired in September 2023, the chain operated the former Marché Metro Sirois for a year.
Le Soir.ca unveiled the change of banner so that it positions itself as a leader in food in the west of Rimouski.
The director of Super C on Boulevard Saint-Germain, Kevin Ostiguy, will lead his team alongside the assistant director, Michel Desrosiers and the service manager, Cindy Soucy.
Super C operates 109 discount stores in Quebec.
This is the second supermarket of its kind in Rimouski with that of Cité des Achats. The one in the Nazareth district created around twenty jobs.
