Audi is one of the drivers of this progression with 2,252 cars sold, representing an overall market share of 3.04%, according to statistics provided by the Association of Importers of Motor Vehicles, covering the first six months of this year. Next comes the brand “BMW” (2.78% market share, or 2,055 units), and “Mercedes-Benz” (2.03% market share, or 1,505 units). The brand “Porsche” has sold 354 units since the beginning of 2024, an increase of 54.59% compared to the end of June 2023. On the other hand, sales of the brand “Jaguar” fell by 15% to reach 51 cars. In total, 82,286 new cars were sold in Morocco at the end of June 2024, an increase of 1.06% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By category, the number of new registrations of passenger cars decreased by 0.24% with 74,048 units registered, while the number for light commercial vehicles reached 8,238 units (an increase of 14.54%), the association specifies. The “Dacia” brand dominated the passenger car category, with a market share of 26.65%, or 19,732 new units sold since the beginning of the year. It is followed by the “Renault” brand which sold 11,657 units (or 15.74% market share), then the “Hyundai” brand (5,933 units, or 8.01% market share). Regarding the light commercial vehicle category, the “Renault” brand sold 2,040 units, or 24.76% market share. Next comes the “Ford” brand which increased its sales to 1138 cars, or 13.81% market share, then DFSK (963 units, or 11.69% market share).
