A social movement is disrupting the circulation of TER in the west of the region. SNCF management invites travelers to postpone their trips this Monday, November 25, 2024.

“Rail traffic will be severely disrupted in the west of the Occitanie region”says the SNCF side. In accordance with yesterday's forecasts, a social movement is underway this Monday, November 25. The circulation of TER trains and the Toulouse railway hub lines are affected. Travelers from the former Midi-Pyrénées are invited to find out more and postpone their trip.
The unions, the CGT, Sud rail, Unsa and the CFDT, denounce a deterioration in the working conditions of railway workers. In a leaflet the CGT declares: “We require the provision of sufficient staff to ensure daily service, have leave and return to decent working conditions”Unions which denounce the fact that management plans “to increase TER traffic by 24% by 2032… while at the same time there is a shortage of 15 driving agents for the month of December 2024”.
For the moment, management has not given details on the number of journeys disrupted by the social movement.
A strike that could be renewed. This November 25, the unions must meet in a general assembly to decide what happens next.
Furthermore, due to violent winds last night, a tree fell on a catenary between Cahors and Souillac in the Lot. Traffic was interrupted until 9 a.m., but delays could be experienced throughout the day.
