A solidarity alternative to Black Friday

From November 22 to December 2, 2024, a unique initiative is taking place: The Tricolor Daysa collective commercial operation in favor of Made in products. For 11 days, more than 250 brands come together to offer products made in France at more accessible prices, as the Christmas holidays approach. This approach is essential as a collective response to current economic and societal issues.

A strong commitment to Made in France

Launched in response to foreign commercial practices such as Black Friday, this initiative invites consumers to favor products designed and manufactured in France. The goal is clear: relocalize our purchases and support local businesses while promoting French know-how.

Unlike other campaigns such as French Days, often criticized for their lack of transparency on the origin of products, Les Jours Tricolores is exclusively committed to items labeled Made in France. This transparency helps counter “francowashing” practices, where certain brands use misleading arguments to attract consumers without actually promoting local products.

A united response to inflation

In a context of persistent inflation, this operation is also intended an economical solution for consumers. Participating companies set up various promotional offers: discounts, bundles, or even loyalty benefits. The objective is to allow as many French people as possible to access quality products, while respecting their budget.

For brands, it is also an opportunity to benefit from increased visibility thanks to a collective dynamic that pools marketing efforts via social networks, newsletters, and communication media.

Why an alternative to Black Friday?

If Black Friday has become an unmissable event for many consumers, it is also synonymous with overconsumption and often imported products, with a significant environmental and social impact. The Tricolor Days offer a responsible and committed approachfocused on values of sustainability and proximity.

By choosing Made in France products, consumers participate in:

  • Support local jobshelping French companies to remain competitive.
  • Reduce their carbon footprintthanks to shorter production and distribution circuits.
  • Promote local innovationby encouraging brands to develop products that respect French social and environmental standards.

How to participate in the operation?

The Tricolor Days are an initiative free, flexible and open to all French companies respecting Made in France criteria. Interested brands can register directly via the dedicated platforms.

As for consumers, they are invited to discover the offer on the websites of participating companies, their physical stores, or via social networks, where the operation will be widely relayed.

A hashtag to mobilize communities

The operation relies on the power of digital to reach a large and varied audience. Thanks to the hashtag #LesJoursTricoloresbrands and consumers can share, exchange and promote this initiative. A collective movement that combines solidarity and modernity.

Why the Tricolor Days deserve our attention

This operation is not limited to promotional offers. It represents a paradigm shift in the way we consume, giving meaning to our end-of-year purchases. Supporting Les Jours Tricolores means supporting a local and sustainable economy.

While the frenzy of Black Friday invades the windows, Les Jours Tricolores reminds us that it is possible to consume differently, while remaining faithful to one's values. This month of November 2024 could well mark a decisive turning point in the way the French think about their purchases.
