In the United States, Black Friday at discounted prices is an institution, which takes place the day after Thanksgiving, and which kicks off Christmas shopping. For around twenty years, its model has been imported into France, but now the national trade is rebuffing. Eleven unifying actors of Made in France come together to promote, from November 22 to December 2, products manufactured on the national territory. Among those involved: the Carte Française, Origine France Garantie, the FIMIF, Marques de France, MIF Expo-Le Salon du Made in France, the Source Française and the collective of Made in France boutiques. How will these days work? Some brands have chosen to create a unique promo code, LESJOURSTRICOLORES, which allows discounts of up to 30%. Others will maintain their prices but will offer a made in France gift card, in order to give purchasing power which is also relocation power. Still others, like 1803 which manufactures jeans, will release new products at more affordable prices on this occasion. Everyone will communicate their know-how and use competitions to make Made in France known to as many French people as possible during Christmas. For them, it is also about raising awareness among their fellow citizens of the fact that buying a French product means supporting local factories and workshops, that Made in France generates six times more direct or indirect jobs than a imported product, and, through its short and local circuits, is good for the planet.
