An anthracite gray envelope now surrounds the multi-level car park which stands along the A4 Luxembourg-Esch motorway, near the Pontpierre exit. Over the months, the imposing GRIDX real estate project led by the Félix Giorgetti group took shape in Wickrange. On the construction site, it’s a real hive. The work is entering the home stretch: the reception must take place in February-March 2025, the opening to the public is scheduled for July and the inauguration in September.
The names of the first tenants are revealed. We can cite the dealers Merbag and Losch, the Mercedes, Bentley, Alpine and Ducati motorcycle brands, Europcar and Baloise agencies, a Bionext medical analysis laboratory. TotalEnergies and Circle K have jointly reserved the first of the four floors of 1,500 m² of offices planned.
The Diekirch hotel school opens a branch
A school will also be set up here. Indeed, the Luxembourg School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTL), based in Diekrich, plans to open a branch at GRIDX. “There will be classrooms, kitchens,” says Stéphanie Schleich, marketing and communications manager at GRIDX. These training premises will be located under the 133-room and suite hotel which dominates the complex, and which will be operated by Cycas Hospitality under a management agreement with the Félix Giorgetti group.
The branch of the hotel school will also be located in the direct vicinity of the foodhalla space where sixteen corners giving pride of place to cuisines from around the world, complemented by a gourmet brasserie. This foodhallequipped with terraces, will be 100% operated by Concept+Partners, the hotel and catering subsidiary of the Félix Giorgetti group.
Finally, within two months, GRIDX management intends to announce the partner company which will take care of the entire part retailsince numerous premium range beauty and ready-to-wear boutiques are planned in one wing of the real estate complex.
A multi-card complex
With these announcements, GRIDX wants to continue to move away from the label of automotive temple that sticks to it. Indeed, the car will hold an important place in the complex, with the brands present in the Motorworld area, the 1,500 parking spaces available and the 67 glass boxes. These are luxury garages with transparent walls, to accommodate exceptional models whose owners will benefit from a concierge service seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
There will also be a platform dedicated to leisure activities, where around ten rooms for karaoke, a quiz room and arcade games are announced. Premises are still available there, and an operator for a “kid’s park” type space is in demand. And also a large event hall to organize private parties and other concerts
By focusing on restaurants, the hotel, the shops, the platforms dedicated to businesses, leisure activities, concerts, GRIDX intends to offer many other services and activities, for the whole family, from next summer in Wickrange .
A place which, in the future, should be served by the fast tram linking the capital to Esch-sur-Alzette thanks to a stop in Pontpierre, on the other side of the motorway.
A first event this November 24
A first illustration of this multi-card dimension will even take place well before the opening. On Sunday November 24, an event is organized as part of the 10th edition of Luxembourg Art Week. It will take place in the part of GRIDX which will become, over 1,200 m², a digital art gallery which promises its future visitors “an immersive experience”.
