Webinar: Modeling Manufacturing Processes with COMSOL Multiphysics®

Organized on Thursday, December 5 at 11 a.m., this webinar will highlight the manufacturing and shaping processes of materials, subject to strict requirements to meet industry quality standards.

The webinars in free access organized the Thursday December 5 of 11h has 12hwill focus on the design of high-performance mechanical components. This particular process involves many challenges, such as increasingly fine manufacturing tolerances and controlling the level of residual stress in the material. By allowing engineers to test their processes through virtual prototyping, digital modeling and simulation have become important assets in the manufacturing field.

COMSOL Multiphysics® software and its complementary products provide a wide range of functionalities for modeling the manufacturing and shaping of materials, such as advanced non-linear constitutive laws and tools dedicated to the study of residual stresses. The modeling platform provides predefined multiphysics couplings to address processes involving solid mechanics, heat transfer, flow, and many other phenomena – all of which can interact in a single simulation.

INSCRIPTION

This webinar will illustrate the capabilities of the COMSOL software suite to model processes such as stamping, extrusion, compaction, continuous casting, molding, coating, or even additive manufacturing. We will also provide an overview of functionalities relevant to the study of manufacturing processes.
