Watch out for nighttime outings next week on the Toulouse ring road. From Monday November 18 2024, Vinci Autoroutes begins maintenance work on the Toulouse ring road.
A first week of work
“To limit the inconvenience on this busy route”, the company will operate during the night, between 8:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next morning. The operations will last until Thursday November 21 included. But will resume the following week, from Monday November 25 to Thursday November 28, for a second phase.
On the program: inspection of bridges, hydro-cleaning of gutters, repair of guardrails, checking of signs and cameras, maintenance of trees and plantations. The work will be carried out in 5 kilometer motorway sections, which will therefore be progressed over the course of eight nights spread over two weeks.
Kickoff? Monday evening, for the first four nights where traffic will be more complicated to the north east of Toulouse. Here, day by day, is how it will be modified.
The new traffic Monday evening
The night of Monday November 18, 2024, the eastern ring road will be closed in the direction of Montpellier and Bordeaux, between the Sesquières and Croix-Daurade interchanges, which includes the junction with the A62.
Drivers will therefore have to exit at Sesquières (n°33) and take the ring road at Croix-Daurade (n°14).
The route to take Tuesday evening
On the night of Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the ring road will be inaccessible between the Croix-Daurade and Sesquières interchanges, in the direction of Bordeaux.
On the ring road, you will then have to exit at Croix-Daurade (n°14) to take the ring road at Sesquières (n°33).
Motorists who take the A62, from Bordeaux and towards Tarbes, will have to take the eastern ring road towards Montpellier then exit at Borderouge (n°13) before taking the secondary network to reach Sesquières (n °33).
Wednesday evening traffic changes
On the night of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the ring road will be closed in the direction of Montpellier between the Croix-Daurade and Soupetard interchanges. This closure includes with it the junction with the A68.
From then on, night drivers will exit at Croix-Daurade (n°14) to take the ring road at Soupetard (n°16). While drivers coming from Albi via the A68 will have to take the outer ring road towards Bordeaux, then exit at Croix-Daurade (n°14) to deviate onto the secondary network to Soupetard (n°16).
Those who wish to join the A68 towards Albi will exit at Croix-Daurade (n°14) and will go through the secondary network to La Roseraie (n°15).
Changes Thursday evening
For the last night of Thursday, November 21, 2024, the ring road will be closed in the direction of Bordeaux between the Soupetard and Croix-Daurade interchanges, including, again, the junction with the A68.
You will therefore have to exit at Soupetard (n°16) to take the ring road at Croix-Daurade (exit n°14) or to join the A68 at L'Union (exit n°1). Motorists on the A68 coming from Albi who want to go towards Bordeaux will have to take the inner ring road, direction Montpellier, then exit at La Roseraie (n°15), take the secondary network and join Croix-Daurade (n°14).
The operation will be repeated in another sector the following week. After a short break granted for the weekend.
