Current savings book rates
Over time, we see that savings accounts are becoming more and more popular. Which is completely normal given the economic situation in France. Indeed, these savings investments have become essential to cope with the economic crisis and inflation.
However, it is important to choose the product where you are going to deposit your money, depending on your situation. To date, certain savings accounts stand out clearly from others.
This is particularly the case for Livret A which is one of the most popular. Moreover, the latter is even considered one of the most popular savings accounts in France.

This is explained by the numerous advantages that this investment offers. But also by its rather attractive rate. Indeed, to date, the Booklet offers 3% remunerationfrozen until January 2025.
On the other hand, we also have the LDDS whose terms are almost similar to those of Livret A. Moreover, this one also offers a rate of 3%.
Regarding LEP, the yield amounts to 4% for several months. While the PEL offers a rate of 2.25%.
How much will savings account rates be in 2025?
Whether it is the Livret A, the LDDS or the LEP, all are regulatory savings accounts. Thus, it is the State which decides on all points concerning these investments. Therefore, the rates these products offer may change over time based on inflation and economic fluctuations.
Moreover, with inflation slowing, it is very likely that they will experience a fall next year. In any case, this is what the specialists have put forward.

According to Philippe Crevel, director of the Savings Circle, the Livret A rate could fall between 2.7% and 3%.
In its lines, The Echo reports the words of Eric Dor, director of studies at the IÉSEG School of Management, who foresees a drop between 2.5% and 2.6%. And this, from February until July 2025.
Quid you LEP?
As we mentioned above, the Popular Savings Book rate is currently at 4%. Which is higher than the yield that LEP offers.
However, like the rate of the Livret A and the LDDS, that of the LEP can also change before February 2025. Concretely, this can be caused by the modification of the remuneration of the Livret A.
Consequently, holders of the Popular Savings Booklet must follow the evolution of the Livret A rate. Note that nothing is certain yet. The LEP yield will only change once the Livret A remuneration has been applied.
Whatever happens, savers should not sit idly by at the end of the year. It is best to act now. It's necessary save as much as possible before February 2025date on which the savings account rates could change, always depending on Litter.
