Philipp Müller will be the new general director of the Friborg Hospital (HFR). Former administrative and financial director of the CHUV in Lausanne, and current vice-president of the board of directors of the HFR, he will succeed Marc Devaud on March 1, 2025.
With Philipp Müller, the HFR can “count on a general director with solid experience in the governance of a major hospital institution”, the board of directors rejoiced on Wednesday. The appointment was approved on Tuesday by the Friborg Council of State.
Philipp Müller was born in 1974 in Zurich, the press release said. Perfectly bilingual, he completed his university studies in economic history and economics at the University of Lausanne, where he obtained a doctorate in 2010, and has an Executive Master of Public Administration from the University of Bern.
As for Marc Devaud, in office for six years, he will remain at the head of the HFR until March 1. He “successfully piloted the first phase of the implementation of the 2030 Strategy in the difficult context of Covid-19,” noted Annamaria Müller, president of the board of directors, quoted in the press release.
