Bad news for all Voo customers, this end-of-year gift is disappearing

Traditionally, since 2011, Voo has offered an ephemeral channel, called La Chaîne du Père Noël, to its subscribers at the end of the year. But the magic of Christmas will not work in 2024. We explain why.

Regardless of the broadcast platforms, when the end of November or beginning of December comes, the majority start to promote programs related to the end-of-year holidays. In , Canal+ launched La Chaîne du Père Noël in 2011. This appeared towards the end of November and disappeared at the beginning of January, once the festivities had passed. Voo took the opportunity to offer it to its Belgian customers. It was an opportunity to benefit from programs aimed at young people and families. It was about entertainment such as Santa’s Apprentice, T’choupi and Enchantimals or even more recently Totally Spies, Barbie and Spirit.

In 2019, the M6 Group bought the television division of Lagardère Active which owned this channel. The said group then set up a contractual collaboration with to continue broadcasting to the latter’s subscribers. This gave Voo the opportunity to continue his broadcast. Unfortunately, season 14 will not see the light of day, due to the non-renewal of the contract between M6 and Orange. As Planète Csat mentions, the latter is coming to an end and the ephemeral channel disappears with it.
