The turnover of the outsourcing sector increased from 14.7 to 17.9 billion dirhams over the last two years, an increase of 20%, said Wednesday in Marrakech, the Minister of Transition. digital technology and administrative reform, Ghita Mezzour.

Given their essential role in consolidating digital dynamics, outsourcing and digital export services are the subject of constant support, indicated Ms. Mezzour, who spoke at the opening of Gitex Africa 2024, indicating that the Kingdom has several national and international companies that offer modern technological and digital solutions.

Morocco, in addition to being the second best destination for outsourcing in Africa, gained 12 places internationally in this area, to position itself 28th in the world, she observed, noting that these results were made possible thanks to the performance of young skills, continuous support from the government and the quality infrastructure available.

Regarding support for startups, the ministry, continued Ms. Mezzour, launched several innovative mechanisms for financing funds in partnership with the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment (FM6I) and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), with a view to encouraging new investments in Moroccan startups.

The ministry also works to support these startups in order to help them access markets through partnerships with different departments, she noted, stressing that Morocco went from 16th to 5th place in Africa in terms of financing. on equity, with an exceptional increase of +252% compared to 2022.

Furthermore, the minister stressed that the government has worked to improve the quality of digital public services, adding that Morocco currently has more than 600 digital public services. Gitex Africa, which sees the participation of more than 1,500 exhibitors, representing more than 130 countries, aims to be a hub promoting exchanges on the latest technological developments, particularly in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, health and cybersecurity.
