Global opportunity: African agri-food startups invited to innovate

African agri-food startups are encouraged to apply for the WFF Startup Innovation Awards, a global competition aimed at promoting innovative technological solutions to sustainably transform agri-food systems. Organized in partnership with Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), this initiative provides a platform to highlight revolutionary ideas in the sector.

WFF Startup Innovation Awards finalists will benefit from multiple benefits, including:

  • Travel Grants : Finalists will receive grants to participate in the final event in Rome, providing an opportunity to present their innovative solutions on a global stage.
  • International Visibility : The event provides global exposure, allowing startups to reach an international audience and make valuable contacts.
  • Funding Opportunities : Startups will have access to potential investors, thus increasing their chances of securing funds to develop their projects.
  • Acceleration Programs : Finalists will be able to join accelerator programs, receiving ongoing support to refine and scale their solutions.
  • Prize Money : A total of 30,000 USD will be distributed among the winners to help them continue their innovations.

Interested startups must submit their application by June 8, 2024. The selection process and evaluations will begin in October, providing participants with ample time to prepare and refine their pitches.
