Orange Ventures and Digital Africa: New support for African startups

Orange Ventures and Digital Africa have announced a partnership to jointly invest in startups in the Orange Digital Centers network in Africa and the Middle East. Signed during Vivatech by Fayçal Adlouni, Managing Partner of Orange Ventures, and Grégoire de Padirac, CEO of Digital Africa, this agreement strengthens support for African startups. The centers, present in 17 African countries and 8 in Europe, offer training, incubation and financing programs to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation.

The partnership between Orange Ventures and Digital Africa will double the funds committed to startups thanks to the Fuzé program. This program, which has already funded five startups with up to €50,000 each, will benefit from joint evaluation and funding. The selected startups will thus be able to develop their activities and have a significant impact on the local economy.

Orange Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of the Orange Group, and Digital Africa, a subsidiary of Proparco dedicated to supporting African digital entrepreneurs, aim to create an environment conducive to the growth of startups. By supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, this initiative will contribute to the economic and digital development of Africa and the Middle East. The partnership is part of a common vision of promoting “Made in Africa” technology as a Source of global inspiration.

Among the beneficiaries of the program, three startups are based in Cameroon: Clinihome (Healthtech), Koree (Fintech) and Colorfol (cultural and creative industries), while two others are Senegalese: Tolbi (Agritech) and Proboutik (Fintech). These startups illustrate the diversity and dynamism of technological entrepreneurship in Africa.

Fayçal Adlouni, CEO of Orange Ventures, said: “The Orange group is fully committed to supporting the future champions of the technology scene in Africa and the Middle East. » Asma Ennaifer, Executive Director of CSR, Communications and the Orange Digital Center program for Orange MEA, added: “By joining forces with Orange Ventures and Digital Africa, we are empowering African startups to thrive. »
