The future electric sports car with breathtaking performance!

Audi’s electric family continues to grow, with ever more efficient models. After the RS e-tron GT, it’s the turn of the Audi RS6 E-Tron to make waves. This zero-emission version of the legendary RS6 promises thrills, with power that could exceed 800 hp. Here is everything we know about this highly anticipated electric sports car.

A design in line with the A6 e-tron concept

Although camouflaged during testing on the Nürburgringthe prototype of theAudi RS6 E-Tron reveals a silhouette faithful to the A6 e-tron concept. We find the characteristic features of the RS versions, with a more aggressive and sporty look:

  • Streamlined “singleframe” grille
  • Split front optics
  • Specific shields
  • Aerodynamic appendages

Unlike the thermal RS6, theAudi RS6 E-Tron should be offered in Sportback and sedan bodystyles. Enough to satisfy a wider audience looking for performance and versatility.

A high-tech and connected interior

If the interior should be less minimalist than that of the concept, the Audi RS6 E-Tron will focus on a resolutely high-tech atmosphere. The screens should be omnipresent, with potentially three digital panels:

  • Instrument cluster and central screen merged
  • Screen dedicated to front passenger
  • Augmented reality head-up display

Dynamic ambient lighting will perfect the atmosphere on board, adapting to the selected driving mode or the mood of the occupants. Enough to make each journey unique and immersive.

The PPE platform as a technical basis

As the Porsche Macan electric, the Audi RS6 E-Tron will be based on the Volkswagen group’s PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform. This 800 volt high voltage architecture offers numerous advantages:

  • High capacity batteries up to 100 kWh
  • Range of up to 700 km (less powerful versions)
  • DC fast charging up to 270 kW

Thanks to this technology, theAudi RS6 E-Tron should offer both top-notch performance and reassuring autonomy for daily use or long journeys.

More than 800 hp for electrifying sportiness

If no official information has filtered out on the powertrain, rumors suggest a cavalry of more than 800 hp for the Audi RS6 E-Tron. Quattro all-wheel drive would of course be included, with two electric motors (one on each axle).

With such power, performance should be breathtaking, worthy of the best “Electric Super Sedan”. 0 to 100 km/h could be achieved in less than 3 seconds, for a top speed certainly electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The chassis and running gear should also be up to the task, potentially with adaptive air suspension, an active differential and carbon-ceramic brakes. Enough to fully exploit the potential of the engine, while ensuring precise and safe dynamic behavior.

Launch expected at the end of 2024, at a price still unknown

According to the latest information, theAudi RS6 E-Tron should be presented by the end of 2024, for immediate marketing. It would thus complete the 2025 range of the brand with the rings, which will include numerous electrified models.

On the price side, it is difficult to say at the moment. But given its positioning in the range, the Audi RS6 E-Tron should be a little cheaper than the RS e-tron GT, which starts at around €100,000. One thing is certain, fans of high-end electric sports cars have reason to be impatient!

The arrival of the Audi RS6 E-Tron marks a new stage in the electrification of high-performance models. With its aggressive design, its high-tech interior and its top-notch performance, it promises to shake up the hierarchy of trendy sports cars. Looking forward to the first tests to see if this supercharged electric keeps all its promises!
