Aleppo and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) are joining forces to propel the Moroccan trade sector into the digital era. The two have concluded, in this sense, a framework partnership agreement which aims to support the digital transformation and merchants, thus strengthening their competitiveness in a global economy. Indeed, the trade and distribution sector represents 8% of GDP and employs more than 17% of the Kingdom’s workforce. Through this alliance, Aleph and the MIC want to revolutionize this sector through digitalization.

This strategic alliance therefore prioritizes improving access to digital technologies for small and medium-sized merchants, a crucial element to enable them to remain competitive in an increasingly digitalized commercial environment. “We are delighted to put our expertise in digital advertising at the service of Moroccan merchants. Our initiative, “Digital Ad Expert”, is specifically designed to educate and empower our business partners to make the most of digital technologies, ensuring a smooth transition to more modern and efficient business models”explains Mohamed Megahed, Managing Director at Aleph Group.

Aleph is committed to enriching merchants with educational resources via the “Digital Ad Expert” platform, providing local support from Google-certified experts, and organizing innovative training and workshops to effectively integrate digital advertising into their strategies of marketing. The MIC will implement a joint action plan, mobilizing Chambers of Commerce and other entities to support the digitalization of SMEs, and organizing events to encourage the use of new technologies.
